PARENTAL CONTROL

PARENTAL CONTROL
Thanks to MTV, frustrated parents will once again get the
chance to kick their kid's loser boyfriends and girlfriends to the curb!
MTV gives parents a chance to interfere in their children's relationship. Do you think parents know who's the best choice for their child? Should they play match makers? If not where do you think do people find their true soulmates these days?

  1. I think based off my experience, my mom probably has the best judgment on who is and isn't good for me. Mostly because I am exactly who she was, by looks and personality. But most parents are not that similar to their parents so no they should not interfeer in the child's decisions of dating "partners." So many teenagers are questioning who they are, where they belong, and what type of people they want to be with, while the parents do not comprehend where they are coming from. In a lot of instances the parents believe they know who their children are but have honestly know idea who they are or who they are going to be. Also finding "soul mates" in high school or teenage years is very unlikely.

  3. I think it is very important to get the approval from your parents on who your dating but i don't think parents should be match makers. I do think its crazy for someone to date a person that has a huge age difference but my dad is 10 years older than my mom and that turned out well. A good solution would be to just talk to your parents and see what age they wouldn't accept and then start looking.

  4. I think approval from your parents on who you date is important but i don't think you should fully rely on your parents expectations, because they are not dating the person so who knows if they would fully understand who the person you may be dating truly is.
